Hey, I’m Matthew — the founder of CallSignHendo and a proud Army veteran who turned a love for design into a business. Before I started building websites, I served as a Field Artillery Specialist, working as a radar operator and assisting with mortar tube operations.
My time in the military taught me the importance of precision, adaptability, and teamwork — lessons that still guide me today. After serving, I worked across a range of industries, taking on leadership roles in retail with companies like Blockbuster and Dollar Tree, moving into operations at Home Depot, banking with Wells Fargo, and later healthcare with fast-paced startups like Rally Health and UnitedHealth Group. Each role challenged me to grow, communicate clearly, and problem-solve under pressure — skills I bring into every design project.
What started as a hobby helping friends and family build websites evolved into CallSignHendo — a mission-driven design studio built on discipline, creativity, and strategy. I help businesses craft a strong digital presence through websites, logos, and marketing materials that are clear, functional, and impactful.
When I’m not designing, I’m spending time with my three dogs — Max, Dani, and Hector — or getting lost in a good sci-fi series like Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, or Stargate. I love camping, traveling, and exploring new places across the U.S. whenever I can.
